You want it, you got it: Edit your suggestions!

Sunday, January 13th, 2008

Ever submit a suggestion… that had a typo in its title or description?

Wish you could edit that suggestion?

Permission granted!

How do you do it? Just click to edit. You can edit your suggestion’s title, and you can edit its description.

As of this release, you can edit your suggestions anytime, but we may change that in the future. As MicroPat mentioned in a comment, letting people edit a suggestion for an unlimited amount of time could get problematic. Regardless, we’re giving this a shot — faith in the communities!

Tags for administrators!

Admins: Tag those suggestions, because now you can!

In this release, administrators can add and remove tags for any suggestion on their suggestion board. Simply click ‘Edit Tags‘ under a suggestion, then submit some meaningful comma-delimited keywords (”tags”). You’ll then be able to find suggestions by the tags you chose.

What’s more, if you have other administrators, is that they too can join in on the tagging! In the sidebar, choose a tag to view the suggestions associated by that tag. Your fellow administrators’ tags will appear in the same place.

This is an early release, and we’re already aware of the ‘additional empty pages’ issue when viewing suggestions by tag. That’ll be fixed soon, but we welcome your feedback on any other issues. (Fixed Jan. 5, 3pm PSD)

Now let’s get to tagging those suggestions…
